week 1 # 1 night night (revised)

Relaxing music plays in the room with the background noise of the vacuum going out in the hall. My computer is the only thing that sheds light into the room. On one of the walls there is a poster of a beach scene. With very little light in the room it can barley be seen. As Kerstin sleeps, she rolls over to her other side. In the window I can see the reflection of my face lit up by my computer. Now that the vacuum has stopped there is only the soft music and the sound of my fingers typing away at the keys. When rearranging and cleaning the room Kerstin found a birthday card. I wonder where she found it? The card was giant poster board folded in half. On the front is says happy birthday in blue – green and Kerstin in red. Like our dorm does for every birthday we got everyone in the dorm to sign the card. From water being previously spilt one can see some of the signatures through the card. I sit on my bed and write because my desk is tucked away under Kerstin’s bed and is inaccessible. Once done I plug my computer in. the green light of having just plugged in the computer suddenly changes to orange when the computer realizes that it’s not charged. The soft music continues to play in the background as my eyes begin to droop and then close.

night night

On one of the walls there is a poster of a beach scene. With very little light in the room it can barley be seen. As Kerstin sleeps she rolls over to her other side. In the window I can see the reflection of my face being lit up by my computer. Besides the quite soothing music in the background the only other sound is my fingers typing away at the keys. “…And I have only a few minutes left to write this before it’s time to catch the morning train like the man in the song…”

This quote shows that this person is writing about what is actually happening right when he is writing it. He has to catch the morning train but while he is waiting he is writing about everything that he sees.

sketch #1

Sitting in my common room. Sang walks in saying that she is hungry. The TV is going. Thoughts pop into my head about what show is on. After study hall someone is always watching TV. As I sit here watching the hills I hear sang in the background slurping on her noodles. The common room has an odor of things being left dirty in the sink. Looking out the window there are puddles that are muddy. There is a red car that is always there because it is my dorm parent’s car. Just up the hill there is a dorm similar to Burbank called Johnson. All of the dorms up on the “hill”, as people call it, are all a grayish green. There are very few cars that come down the road to Burbank because it is a dead end at the skating rink.

week 1 # 1

Right behind the sign for Lawrence Street and the giant snow back is a lays ships truck. Directly behind where I sit is a building with is sign saying Development and Alumni relation. Also attached to this building is the admissions office where I once shaking the hand of my tour guide. A yellow school bus goes down the main street and turns right on to the Andover elementary property. Off in the distance behind the dorms are mountains that have a very gray looking color to them as winter is ending. Some seniors stop to talk to one another. A lady runs across the street with her dog on a leash and drops her coat. A car passes and toots the horn to try to get the lady’s attention to notify her that she dropped something. When looking far away one can see the Proctor Maple Sugaring House. Syrup has been made in that very house for years and will continued to be made. I hear exchanges of words between to people that are crossing the street. “Hey, how are you.” “I’m good thanks.” Cars of people that work at the school are parked in small parking lot for about three cars. Between the church and Fowler dorm is the house keeping building.
